Join Us for Metta May

Whatever living beings there may be; Whether they are weak or strong, omitting non, great or the mighty, medium, short or small, seen and unseen, living near and far away, born and to-be-born - May all beings be at ease -

— Karaniya Metta Sutta

This May at True North Insight, we’re focusing on the practice of lovingkindness- placing our palms together with a heart imbued with Metta and pausing to acknowledge the deep interconnectedness between all beings on the earth. We invite you to engage in this practice with us, using the month of May to cultivate this clear, kind awareness. True North Insight offers a place to sit and reconnect with our deepest intentions, to come back to our heart, again and again, and to remember we are all in this together.

We also ask you to consider a special gift in Metta May. If you are touched by all that we do here please donate to True North Insight today. Your gift is an acknowledgement of our interconnectedness - supporting the framework for all our offerings including diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as scholarships.

To inspire you during Metta May, Pascal, Daryl, Dawn and Roxanne will offer metta practices here and in your inbox if you are on our mailing list.

Thank you for your practice and your heartfelt generosity.

I propose this reading in connection with METTA May organized by Voie boréale, and in continuation of our exploration of benevolence and self-compassion.

It is a transcription of a retreat by Bhante Sujato on the Brahmavihara. We can dwell specifically on pages 7-26 of the document.
