Possibly the most challenging and important part of life into which we bring our practice of mindfulness is the arena of relationships. Our intimate relations, colleagues at work, friends and even neighbors call us to be present in the moment and respond with authenticity and heart. Yet relationships are often the very context in which reactive patterns are triggered, and we bring to these encounters the pain of old baggage. In this retreat Daryl Lynn Ross and Jean Esther will explore how to be intimate with ourselves, and authentic and compassionate in how we relate with others. The retreat schedule will include sessions of mindful speaking as well as times of silence, all engaged in with a spirit of kindness. Sitting and walking meditation, teachings, optional mindful movement practice, and discussions about practice will round out the retreat schedule. Although this retreat is not designed specifically for couples, people may choose to come as partners - straight and LGBTQ are all welcome. Room sharing as couples will not be allowed.
