The insight and wisdom cultivated on retreat and in our daily practice can often be difficult to access in the midst of our daily lives when it is most required. We may have left a retreat feeling very equanimous and at peace only to see that quickly dissipate when family, friends or co-workers trigger old reactive patterns. This workshop will explore teachings from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy that have been shown to increase our ability to respond consciously to the many challenges life presents. Through a combination of didactic teaching, group discussion and silent meditation, we will look at skilful means we can employ to address the disconnect between our formal practice and practice in the midst of our daily lives.

This workshop is recommended for people with some foundation of meditation practice.
